  1. 'Controlling the situation' - natural instinct for a woman who doesn't want to get hurt. The fear of committing to the wrong man. There's nothing wrong with it at all. Sometimes you need to put up barriers because not every guy has the right intention.

Besides, we are always so harsh on ourselves for the mistakes we have made that if we thought about things rationally, we would understand that regardless of each and every situation, if it was meant to be, it would. If we wanted things to work out, we would make them work. Deep down, we know that person is not right for us despite us as women trying very hard to make things work. Men can sense these things. They know if we're really into them or not. Oh and as women, we analyse and over analyse about everything that has been said and done. We are very emotionally involved right from the beginning.

Give yourself a break and stop being so harsh on yourself :) Life's too short for regrets. Allah (swt) makes us go through these trials for a reason. It would be shame, if we didn't learn from them.

PS I think it's great reading a woman's take on this. Keep it up.

  2. JazakAllah sister SI. I agree with what you are saying. Alhamdulillah I did learn a lot from that experience. And it helped me to give a better chance to the next person I met. A person I probably never would've given a chance unless I had met that guy. So Allah (swt) definitely does everything for the best.

  5. Salam sister SI. Thanks! I took it off because I was thinking about changing the aim of this blog. I will probably put that back on later on. This blog may not be a quest blog after all.
